Fwad is a visual artist graduated from the Fine Art Academy of Algiers. His academic training forms the foundation of a rigorous practice, which he now develops at the intersection of visual arts and design.

Over the past five years, he has established a structured and personal artistic approach, centered on producing one exhibition per year, conceived as a true archival process of his experiences and lived reality. His artistic language spans multiple mediums — oil painting, acrylic, installation, image, and sculpture — reflecting a deliberate intention not to confine his work to the mastery of a single medium, but rather to ensure that the limits of his art are defined by his own choices, not by the extent of his technical knowledge.

Driven by constant curiosity and strong determination, Fwad is distinguished by a sincere desire to express himself beyond words, infusing his work with both emotion and subtle touches of humor, resulting in an artistic practice that is sensitive, accessible, and deeply human.

Living an anemoia means feeling nostalgic for something you never actually lived. It’s being surprised by a longing for a time that doesn’t really exist، somewhere between memories passed down, a present that slips away, and a dream-like future. Through this exhibition, designed like a cabinet of curiosities, Fwad invites us to explore this shared feeling through the cultural references of his homeland, Algeria.

KADAM - 2025 - ROME

KADAM is a solo art exhibition by FWAD, the term “kadam” comes from the Arabic of “قدم” which means foot, metaphorically used in the sens of “قادم” or “coming”. This exhibition is an introduction of FWAD’s univers to the Italian public, being his first solo show in Italy.

The artworks of KADAM are mainly paintings both from his last exhibition ANEMOIA, and 38 new artworks made in residency in Rome at Alessandro Calizza’s Studio in San Lorenzo art district. This project was made possible by the collaboration of SA.A.L.A.D, XBM Studio ,l’AARC and the Algerian Ministry of culture

“Autoportraits” is an exhibition that aims to show that the way we look at the world and at others is nothing more than the way we look at ourselves. All of our actions are simply representations of who we are—they are our self-portraits. The artist seeks to highlight a world that constantly looks at itself without truly seeing itself as it is. How can we learn to look more attentively, so that seeing becomes truly considering?

“Chapter III” corresponds to the third introspection of the artist FWAD. It is the result of a body of work centered on understanding his deepest emotions. This exhibition is intended to be a mirror of his inner world—and of yours.

“My approach is an invitation to introspection.”

BIRTHDAY is an exhibition born from an intimate moment turned into a ritual. Created on the artist FWAD’s birthday, it marks a turning point: transforming a personal date into a space for creation, reflection, and introspection.  Through this practice, repeated each year, FWAD explores time as a sensitive and evolving material. BIRTHDAY invites us to confront our own transformations and to look back in order to reinvent ourselves.

AL FATIHA - 2026 - ALGIERS

Ten years after his mother’s passing, Fwad opens a threshold, that of an exhibition exploring the fragile territories of life and the beyond, where memory does not settle: it circulates, flickers, persists. In doing so, he offers a meditation on death that ultimately becomes a meditation on life, death being his only certainty. Within this space, the intimate unfolds, shifts, and becomes shareable. Personal experience drifts into a larger memory, inviting us to stand at the edge of the void without seeking to fill it, and to gently redraw its contours.
